The United States Deaf Ski and Snowboard Association (USDSSA) is the foremost organization dedicated to promoting skiing and snowboarding among the Deaf and Hard of Hearing community in the United States since its founding in 1968. Over the past 55 years, our members have excelled in world-class competitions, earning numerous recognitions. We take pride in hosting the tradition Deaf Winterfest, our biennial event that has been running for over five decades.
USDSSA has been promoting skiing culture among the Deaf for 50+ years, enabling deaf youth to compete in world-class competitions. We believe skiing and snowboarding are for all ages, and we aim to foster inclusiveness and community within winter activities for the Deaf and hard-of-hearing community.
At USDSSA, we understand the unique challenges that deaf and hard-of-hearing athletes face in the skiing and snowboarding world. We strive to create an inclusive environment where every athlete can thrive, providing coaching, training, and competition opportunities that are tailored to their needs. Our ultimate goal is to break down barriers and promote equal opportunities for deaf and hard-of-hearing athletes in the skiing and snowboarding world.
At USDSSA, we rely on the generosity of donors and sponsors to help us achieve our mission. Your support will help us provide coaching, training, and competition opportunities to deaf and hard-of-hearing athletes across the United States.
