Snowboard tryout for USDSSA Team
We are excited to announce that we will be hosting snowboard training and tryouts on May 6th and 7th, 2023 for the 2024 Deaflympics event in Turkey.
The event will be held at the Steamboat Springs Mountain Resort in Colorado.
The tryouts will feature four different events: Snowboard Halfpipe, Slopestyle, Cross (SBX), and Alpine.
Our freestyle snowboard coach, Sasha Nations, has received support from Steamboat Springs Mountain Resort to invite us to attend their winter camp setup for tryouts and training.
This opportunity will allow potential athletes to interact directly with our coaches.
The rate for the event is $65.00 per day, including a lift ticket. We are currently working on getting group rate discounts.
If you are interested, please register using our web form by April 23rd and indicate which events you are interested in training or trying out for.
During the event, you will have the opportunity to gather, mingle, and have fun with fellow snowboarders.
If you are unable to attend for any reason and still want to try out for the Deaflympics Snowboard team, please contact us to coordinate a virtual tryout with our freestyle coach (Sasha Nations) or alpine coach (Will Garrow).
